Young people entering the digital economy over the next five to ten years will need to equip themselves for a rapidly changing and uncertain future of work, a future that will both hold new opportunities and challenges. For us, whose target population is youth that have dropped-out of school and youth who have finished school but not continued on to college, our programs are needed to prioritize: digital fluency; core crosscutting skills and learnability.
In knowledge partnership with Tandem Research and support from Microsoft Philanthropies, we have released a white paper titled Skills for Future Jobs: Technology and the Future of Work in India. The paper focuses on the future of jobs and skilling in India, in the wake of rapid automation and digitization of life and work.
We aim to integrate the key findings from the white paper into our strategic and programmatic plan going forward.
