Anandshala Selected as one of the Best Practices in Education by Ministry of Rural Development

Details

Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Anandshala was selected as one of the top 100 best practices in Education in the rural development sector.

MoRD identifies successful micro-level initiatives and developmental practices across rural India so that they can be brought into mainstream deliberation and wider adaptation.

In partnership with the Bihar Educational Project Council, we're building capacities of 996 schools in the Samastipur district of Bihar.

We have created a short film for our Anandshala program called Sachet Shikshak, or, The Conscious Teacher. In it, we speak to a few government school teachers working in the most rural areas in Bihar.

They share their ideas and practices on how to create an equal and joyful learning space for their students and overcome hard challenges to help children to stay, engage and learn in schools.
