Senior Officer – Learning Experience | Schools Program

About the Role

Quest Alliance has been working in the secondary schools for the past few years. In 2020, we rolled out a program to build 21st century skills and STEM mindsets among adolescent girls (grade 8th to 12th) from government schools. One of the key areas of QUEST’s work is around building computational thinking among adolescents and youths. Specifically in Andhra Pradesh, we are working with the State Education Department on developing and institutionalizing AI curriculum and are building a master trainer led teacher support strategy. Master Trainer led cascade model.

We are looking for an experienced person who has worked in the area of education technology, curriculum development and educator capacity building with a focus on government school systems.

The role of the Senior Officer - Learning Experience is going to be critical in supporting the development of AI curriculum in the state and support capacity building of internal team for them to be able to support the teachers. Having understanding of educational technology thought processes especially on Computational Thinking and Career is necessary.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development and Learning Experience Design

      1. Contribute to the development and contextualization of the AI and Computational Thinking curriculum for secondary school learners in collaboration with the Learning Experience Team.

      2. Support the design of a coherent multi-year learning journey that integrates AI, computational thinking, and career awareness for students.

      3. Ensure that curriculum and learning resources are contextually relevant for government school ecosystems and aligned with state education priorities.

      4. Capture feedback from teachers, classrooms, and program teams to inform iterative improvements in curriculum and learning design.

  • Educator Capacity Building and Master Trainer Support

    1. Support design and facilitate capacity-building sessions for teachers and master trainers across districts.

    2. Support development of training plans, facilitation guides, and learning materials to support teacher adoption of computational thinking and AI curriculum.

    3. Strengthen the master trainer–led cascade model to ensure effective training and continuous support for teachers.

    4. Support the internal program team in building their capacity to mentor teachers and sustain classroom implementation.

    5. Enable teacher and student participation in innovation forums and learning platforms


  • Program Implementation and Quality Assurance
    1. Support high-quality implementation of the AI and computational thinking program in collaboration with state and district program teams.
    2. Conduct school visits and field monitoring to assess program implementation and capture insights from teachers and students.
    3. Maintain regular coordination with program teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and timelines.
    4. Coordinate operational requirements such as event logistics, service requests, and training arrangements when required.


  • Collaboration and Organizational Contribution
    1. Collaborate with the central EdTech and learning experience teams to align state implementation with the broader program vision.
    2. Participate in planning meetings, program reviews, and team learning processes.
    3. Contribute to organizational learning by sharing insights from field implementation and supporting improvements in program design.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4–5 years of relevant professional experience working in school education programs within government school systems, particularly in program implementation, curriculum design, or educator capacity building.
  • Demonstrated experience working on STEM education, coding, or computational thinking initiatives with adolescents.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating teacher capacity-building programs, including training and mentoring educators.
  • Experience working with State Education Departments, SCERTs, district education officials, or other education system stakeholders.
  • Experience in implementing EdTech-enabled learning solutions at scale will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with pedagogy for adolescent learners and learner-centered teaching approaches is an advantage
  • Exposure to themes such as life skills, career awareness, gender inclusion, or youth development will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Telugu (written and spoken) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across districts in Andhra Pradesh to support program implementation and stakeholder engagement

About the Role:

The Program Officer (PO) plays a crucial role in guiding and mentoring District Teachers to implement Quest Alliance’s Future Skills curriculum. This support includes program implementation, monitoring, and assisting teachers in successfully implementing the Future Skills curriculum, and its allied activities. The Program Officer also builds relationships with all district stakeholders and works closely with the training and content team.

The Amazon Future Engineer project involves implementing a program where teachers are trained to implement a Future Skills curriculum on Artificial Intelligence and Future Careers. The Program Officer needs to make frequent calls and visits to the schools to observe, motivate and give critical feedback to teachers on the implementation of the session plans. Each Program Officer will be associated with 126 schools and they must regularly contact and connect with their schools to help drive quality implementation of the Future Skills curriculum. Additionally, the PO also needs to help the Sr. Program Officer (Program) in compiling Govt/ Funder reports every month, ensure monthly data collection and reporting by the teachers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Program Implementation and Planning

  • Take responsibility for effective program delivery, review implementation, and monitor within the agreed standards in the assigned Districts of Andhra Pradesh. 
  • Ensure there is a proper weekly/monthly work plan in place for your district and you are able to follow and deliver accordingly.
  • Be well versed with the content/curriculum of the Future Skills curriculum on AI and Career and understand how the content is to be delivered in schools by Teachers.
  • Support and guide Teachers in organising and implementing the process effectively with all the teachers and students in your District.
  • Contribute to the design, plan/support and execute innovation and experimentation with Teachers & schools.
  • Ensure District level events which are part of the State plan are implemented and executed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure participation in Cluster/Complex-level meetings or related-trainings that are happening in the district to make visible our program and provide insights to a larger group of teachers on our work.
  • Ensure frequent and consistent communication and follow up with teachers and make sure there’s a good relationship built with them
  • Identify the top performing teachers periodically and make sure they are recognised in all government as well as Quest forums (District/State level events, fortnightly calls, etc)

Relationship Management - Stakeholders 

  • Build relationships with the District government officials including District Collector, DEO, AMO, GCDO, DSO, Head Masters/Complex and Mandal/Cluster Resource people and Teachers during their school visits to facilitate smooth implementation of the Program, including liaisoning, conducting orientations, review meetings, monitoring visits, etc.
    • Work with the SPOs (Program and District Govt Engagement) to plan, calendarize and ensure joint monitoring visits with the District officials happen frequently to schools every month.
  • Understand the overall school culture and environment and identify spaces, processes and opportunities to align the project approach into the school to transfer ownership of the project approach to school stakeholders.

Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation

  • Ensure all feedback from teacher's webinars and events is collected and collated in one place and shared with relevant team members for analysis.
  • Ensure the documentation, including case studies, photographs, and videos of the implementation schools, is collected and reaches relevant team members with the stakeholders’ signed consent in place.
  • Document and share the best practices in the schools by district officials, teachers & students for publication in donor reporting, quarterly newsletters, social media and other channels.
  • Use the appropriate M&E tools and the Dashboard to make sure that program implementation data entered by the stakeholders is being captured and represented and that project implementation is on track.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4+ years of work experience in project implementation or school facilitation, and NGO sector, preferably in the education sector.
  • Interest in working with and building capacity of the Government secondary school Teachers.
  • Willingness to learn and influence prevalent practices in the education ecosystem
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in Telugu (Mandatory) and working knowledge of English.  
  • Willingness to travel within and outside of the District. 
  • Ability to train, build the capacity of, and manage relationships with new people.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams.

About the Role:

Quest Alliance is looking for a Program Officer for coordinating all the activities with ITIs in the region. You will be reaching out to all the ITIs in your region and will be responsible for the smooth implementation of the program and successfully implementing the Youth Program strategies and other activities. The Program Associate also builds relationships with all district stakeholders and works closely with the state training and content team. They must adhere to all the implementation processes and timelines the program team communicates.

 

Programme Implementation and Planning (Enable systemic mainstreaming)

  • Take responsibility for effective program delivery, review implementation, and monitor within the agreed standards.
  • Ensure there is a proper work plan in place for your region (zone) and you are able to follow and deliver accordingly.
  • Be well versed with the content/curriculum of MY QUEST so as to ensure proper training delivery and support in ITIs.

  • Develop effective working relationships with ITI Principals, Trainers and Placement Officers for effective program implementation.
  • Support Thematic Teams-Placement, Training, Documentation, Data Tech etc in your ITI region (zone) and be the POC for your ITI region (zone).

The Jharkhand Schools Program works to equip adolescents in government secondary schools with Future Skills essential for thriving careers. These include Computational Thinking, Foundational Digital Skills, Career Awareness, and AI & Emerging Technology literacy.

The program focuses on long-term systems change by Institutionalizing future skills within curriculum frameworks, Strengthening educator capacity through scalable, teacher-led models, Building strong partnerships with state education bodies, Embedding monitoring and delivery mechanisms within government systems.

Role Overview:

The Senior Program Manager – Schools Program will lead the Jharkhand state strategy, oversee high-quality program implementation across districts, and drive deep government partnerships to mainstream future skills education at scale. This role requires strong strategic thinking, government engagement expertise, and the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programs. In addition, the SPM will also lead the Sampoorna consortium collaboration and the CODP strategy in the state.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning, Systems Change & Program Leadership

  • Anchor and drive the Jharkhand state strategy in alignment with organizational priorities and long-term systems-change goals.
  • Develop annual operational plans with clear milestones, budgets, timelines, and delivery frameworks across program components.
  • Lead the development of a 3–5 year state strategy, including resource planning, team structure, and scale pathways.

  • Coordinate with the Associate Program Manager to support district-level rollout and resolve operational challenges.
  • Track progress rigorously using reviews, dashboards, data systems, and field insights to ensure timely achievement of targets with quality.
  • Establish, strengthen, and monitor the Master Trainer cadre to enable statewide educator capacity building.
  • Conduct regular field visits to gather qualitative insights and inform continuous program improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development & Stakeholder Capacity Building

  • Anchor the implementation of SEL, CT, and Career programs in government schools and youth clubs.

Team Management & Capacity Building

We are looking for a Data Engineer with ~3 years of experience to develop scalable data pipelines, models, and dashboards that support data-driven decisions at Quest Alliance, a non-profit organization. This role involves processing diverse data sources—from field surveys via KOBO/ODK to APIs—to enable program evaluation, reporting, and mission impact.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipelines and Integration

  • Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for ingesting data from KOBO/ODK, APIs, databases, and other sources, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Build schemas and dimensional models to facilitate effective querying and analysis of program and impact data.

Dashboards and Reporting

  • Develop intuitive dashboards (using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Superset) for KPIs, trends, and insights that communicate progress clearly to teams and stakeholders.
  • Convert requirements into visualizations that support informed decision-making.

Collaboration and Support

  • Collaborate with program, field, and leadership teams to define needs, recommend efficient tools, and provide analysis, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to a data-enabled culture that advances organizational goals.

Documentation

  • Document pipelines, models, metrics, and visualizations for team knowledge and sustainability.

Required Attributes : 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Technical Skills (~3 Years Experience Preferred)

  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Talend, or NiFi.
  • Expertise in visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, Superset, or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP; KOBO or ODK for data capture.

  • Clear communication to explain data insights to varied audiences.
  • Problem-solving in collaborative, resource-aware settings.
  • Interest in applying data skills to non-profit missions.

We use content, pedagogy and technology, to drive the delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach we develop critical life-work skills that are critical for success in the 21​st century. Our curriculum includes media elements like games, videos, audio, and visuals as well as the use of dictionaries for vernacular translations.

 

About the Role:

The role will work as part of the Youth program team and coordinate with other members of the QUEST team to ensure efficient and effective implementation of projects undertaken by QUEST Alliance. 

 

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Program Implementation & Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end program execution aligned with state and project goals
  • Develop and track work plans; ensure adherence to timelines and standards
  • Conduct regular (monthly/quarterly) reviews with trainers, centers, stakeholders
  • Support Training of Trainers (ToT) and ensure gradual center independence

2. Stakeholder & Partnership Management

  • Build and manage relationships with government bodies, ITIs, and CSO partners
  • Ensure MoU compliance across training, placements, and subgrant utilization
  • Collaborate with placement teams to strengthen industry engagement
  • Coordinate with internal teams (training, M&E, tech, comms) for delivery

3. Project & Operations Management

  • Oversee state-level project execution and ensure deliverables are met
  • Support career development programs, especially in Women ITIs
  • Ensure timely data flow for monitoring, assessments, and reporting
  • Align with regional/state leadership to achieve annual program targets

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of M&E data and reports
  • Coordinate baseline, endline, and other assessments
  • Maintain updated student and center databases
  • Document case studies, success stories, and program evidence

5. Team Management & Capacity Building

  • Manage program teams, fellows, and interns (as applicable)
  • Define and review team goals (annual and quarterly)
  • Plan and enable capacity-building initiatives for effective delivery
  • Foster accountability, ownership, and high-performance culture

 

Eligibility:

  • 2-5 years experience managing stakeholders in government settings and/or in education institutions
  • Excellent communication in English and Tamil (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated passion for addressing the challenges of educating India’s youth

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
