Coming from a modest family, Anjusha's household consists of her mother, father, and younger brother. None of them shared her love for fashion and beauty, and the path ahead seemed uncertain. Her father is unemployed, and her mother works as a janitor in a school. Anjusha's brother pursued his own career, leaving her to navigate her dreams largely on her own. In a society where traditional career paths often overshadow personal passions, Anjusha embarked on a remarkable journey. She embraced her interests wholeheartedly, following fashion and beauty content on social media and even creating her own.

At Government ITI for Women in Kozhikode, Anjusha's decision to pursue the Cosmetology Course stemmed from her determination to fortify her foundation. As part of the Quest Alliance interventions, she found a dynamic group, a community of like-minded individuals, who shared ideas and nurtured a rich environment for learning and this guided her journey, helping her not only acquire technical skills but also her communication and confidence. For someone who champions the idea that beauty standards are evolving and strives to challenge outdated norms, the course also provided her with the platform to hold these conversations with her peers. Currently working as a trainee at a beauty parlour, Anjusha’s sights are set much higher. She aspires to gather knowledge, resources, and experience in the world of fashion and beauty to become an entrepreneur.

Anjusha's dedication and commitment have yielded results in a short time. She emerged as one of the two highest-scoring students in her batch and secured her current position as a trainee. Aware that this industry thrives on connections and people, Anjusha strives to maintain the highest standards of quality and perfection in all her endeavours. She continues to stay true to her passion as her service extends beyond beauty treatments, offering her clients a holistic experience marked by professionalism and personalised care which she hopes will take her closer to her goals. She recently won the Regional Learner Recognition Event organized by Quest Alliance exemplifying self-learning and her dedication to create her own identity.
