Teena, from Malot  in Punjab, had a dream to begin her own art and crafts centre to teach those interested in art to learn and collaborate on projects with her.

True to her passion, she started the ‘Teena Srivastava Arts & Crafts Centre’ after completing the Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP), post her ITI education.

“ YEP helped me kickstart my business and gave me confidence to believe in my abilities as an artist. Teaching others requires you to find value in what you create and the program gave me an opportunity to reflect on my own doubts, fears and aspirations,” she adds.

Teena now has a steady stream of students and plans to also run arts and crafts summer camps for kids. Her family is also now more supportive of her endeavours as she is able to make profits through her enterprise.

As next steps, Teena has begun to market her products online. She hopes to expand her business and is looking at avenues to reach as many customers as possible.
