Shelly has always believed that constraints cannot impact her dreams and aspirations. Needless to say, Shelly went on to build Shelly’s Makeovers, a one stop shop for women to transform the way they look. “Makeup is not a mask but a tool to enhance your appearance and features,” claims Shelly and promises to help her clients fulfill their vision of their best self.
Shelly was able to build her business despite financial constraints and credits her family’s support in fulfilling her dreams. Shelly also claims that the YEP program was instrumental in giving her confidence to start a business. She attributes new skills like Digital Marketing to the program which helped her expand her business.
“I was also introduced to concepts like unit costing which helped me understand pricing and thereby make profits,” she adds.
Over the months, through her business she has managed to contribute to the family’s income.
Shelly some day hopes to have a franchise of beauty parlours all over India.
