Capgemini To Power STEM and Coding Education In 4 States

We have partnered with Capgemini (India) to enable 5,000 govt. high school students with skills and confidence required to use technology as a medium of creating, innovating and problem solving.

This project, named MyCode, will be implemented for one year in 25 schools across Karnataka, Odisha, and Telangana under the Secondary Schools Program.

At the core, MyCode is designed to equip students with 21st century skills, a STEM mindset and career exploration skills needed to be able to make informed life decisions and build career pathways of their choice.
The project will also empower girls and boys to overcome systemic gender barriers and challenges that come along.

Many of these students are first generation users of mobiles and computers. The project includes new tech exposure like coding via MIT’s open source platform Scratch.

MyCode will work closely with school authorities, teachers, volunteers and parents to create an ecosystem that encourages girls to pursue STEM. Alongside, periodic hackathons and share-out events, role model interactions is a key activity to help students find real and relatable professionals who can inspire the next generation of girls in STEM.
