Youth Employability

Livelihood Connect

Livelihood Connect is a multi-disciplinary platform in the area of  livelihoods and employability initiated by QUEST Alliance with support from USAID and International Youth Foundation. The platform will have multiple manifests like a knowledge portal, innovation workshops, demonstration grants, large-format conferences and print publications.

Skills for Youth

The “Skills for Youth” project is being led by the International Youth Foundation (IYF) in partnership with QUEST Alliance, supported by USAID. IYF will provide overall leadership and government outreach support whereas the QUEST Alliance will anchor the pilot implementation and coordination of the field activities.  The project will be implemented with a group of knowledge partners and various government and non-governmental institutions.

Digital Life Skills Toolkit

Led by the CAP Foundation and supported by USAID, IYF and Microsoft, this project developed a digital toolkit for workplace readiness and life skills in community based employability training centers.  This toolkit used by facilitators helps in training youth, rescued from or who are at risk of being trafficked, in IT and life skills, job training and placement.

Pre-vocational Digital Content

The poor quality of formal education and the belief that vocational training provides practical and immediate marketable skills convince parents to send their children to acquire vocational skills at an early age. However, the lack of information regarding available jobs in the market and the limited availability of good vocational training make it difficult even for those enrolled in such programs to escape the cycle of low income jobs and poverty.
